One School, One Book

Our One School, One Book initiative begins next week on Friday, April 12th! As a school, we will be reading Dan Bar-el's "The Very, Very Far North" over the next three weeks. There will be prizes and other fun activities along the way. We will end with a live (virtual) Q+A with the author! Books will be sent home Friday, April 12th. Please keep an eye out for an e-mail from Mr. McDowell with more information, and feel free to contact him via e-mail if you have any questions.

The LME Egg Drop!

On Friday, April 19th, your child can join the Egg Drop Challenge! The information/entry form was sent home today. If you missed a copy, please see the attached information page. Welcome in Spring with this activity and help Spring Drop In!! This is an “egg”cellent way to be creative and practice some engineering skills! Mrs. Ingham and Mr. Allanson will be on the scissor lift dropping the design entries! Good luck!

Talent Show: We will be having the LME Talent Show once again this year.  Some of our LME students will amaze us with their wonderful talents on Friday, May 24th.  Students can sign up to audition for the Talent Show early next week. We are looking for students with a special talent (e.g. singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument or something else amazing).  After sign ups take place next week, auditions will be held the following week.  If you have a child interested in auditioning for the Talent Show, please have a discussion together about the process and things they will need to have ready for the audition (e.g. music, musical instrument, props).  Thank you!!
